How do I record material purchases for special job?
If you are performing a special service that requires you to purchase materials (such as mulch, plants, or stone), it is important to record these purchases in the app as soon as they are made.
Why record your materials?
Documenting your purchases protects your investment. Once materials have been marked as purchased in the app:
Cancellation protection: Customers are no longer able to cancel the service.
Investment security: This ensures you aren't left with non-returnable materials and lost labor if a customer changes their mind.
How to mark materials as purchased
Open your Route page and select the relevant special service.
Tap the "..." (Options) button in the top corner.
Select Materials Purchased.
Describe the materials: Enter a brief description of what was bought and the total price paid.
Upload the receipt: Take a clear photo of the store receipt. Ensure the date, items, and total price are clearly visible.
Important reminders
Upfront costs: Remember that as a provider, you are responsible for the upfront cost of materials. Ensure these costs are fully accounted for in the quote you submit to the customer.
Non-returnable items: Only mark materials as "Purchased" once you have physically acquired them.
