Provider Tax Information

Filing taxes as a LawnGuru provider is straightforward. Please keep in mind that the following information is for educational purposes only and is not formal tax advice. We recommend speaking with a tax professional for questions specific to your situation.

Note: All providers are users of the LawnGuru platform, not employees. You are not required to provide LawnGuru's EIN (Employer Identification Number) on your tax return.

When will I receive my tax documents?

All qualifying providers will receive their tax information postmarked by January 31st of each year. Providers who did not meet the requirements may contact Support to request a draft of this form, which will be sent to the email address on file.

Will I receive a Form 1099-K?

  • Threshold: If you completed at least $20,000 in gross billings and 200+ transactions during the tax year, you will receive a Form 1099-K from LawnGuru.

  • Under the threshold: If your company did not reach $20,000 in gross billings and 200+ transactions, you will not receive a 1099-K. However, you can contact us for a draft version of your earnings to assist with your filing.

Understanding your 1099-K (Box 1)

If you receive a 1099-K, the amount listed in Box 1 represents your total gross billings for all completed jobs.

It is important to note that this figure includes all fees associated with your account and may be larger than the actual amount transferred to your bank account. The 1099-k form does not have a separate box to report net bank deposits.

How to request an earnings export

If you need a detailed breakdown of your bank transfers to assist with your deductions or records:

  1. Email support@lawnguru.co (not.com).

  2. Include the specific Year you are requesting.

  3. We will send you a complete export of all bank transfers for that period.
