What do I do when a customer books service through my website?

Congratulations on generating a lead through your website! When a customer books through your personal link, you have two options: you can keep the customer for your own route or refer them to the LawnGuru marketplace for a bonus.

Option 1: Add the customer to your route

If the property is a good fit for you schedule and location, you can claim the job directly.

  1. Go to the Claim page in the app.

  2. Select Website from the drop-down menu at the top.

  3. Tap the service request you want to accept.

  4. Tap Claim Job and select your preferred service date.


Note for special services: If the request is for a special service (like mulch of cleanup), the customer is waiting for a bid. Follow the prompts to Submit a Quote. Once they accept your price, the job will automatically move to your route.


Option 2: Refer to the Marketplace (Earn $15)

If the job doesn't fit your route (e.g., it's too far away or you're fully booked), you can reject the lead. This sends the customer to the general LawnGuru marketplace so another pro can help them.

  1. Go to the Claim page and select Website from the drop-down menu.

  2. Tap the service request.

  3. Tap Reject.

The Reward: Once you reject the lead and another top-rated crew completes the customer's first service, a $15 referral bonus will be deposited directly into your bank account.

Important: The 24-hour window

Leads from your website only stay pending for 24 hours. We willy notify you as soon as the customer books, so be sure to check your leads immediately to ensure you don't miss the chance to claim the job or earn your referral bonus.
