How long do I have to complete a job?
To maintain a high-quality experience for our customers and ensure you receive 5-star ratings, LawnGuru has specific completion windows for different service types.
Lawn Mowing Services
One-Time Requests due ASAP: Must be completed on the same day you accept the job or the following day, depending on your selection at the time of acceptance.
One-Time Requests with a Future Date: Must be finished on the day the job is requested to be completed. Do not accept these scheduled jobs with intentions of pushing to a different day of the week or penalties may be applied.
Recurring Requests: Must be completed on the specific day of the week you selected when accepting the job.
Immediate Service (Active Jobs): If a recurring job is currently active and you have claimed it, you will be prompted to add it to your board for immediate service (today or tomorrow).
First Week Alignment: You must service the customer during the same week you accept the active job, even if your preferred service day has already passed. For example, if you choose Tuesdays but accept the job on a Wednesday, you are still required to complete the initial cut that week.
Ongoing Schedule: Following the first service, the job will automatically lock into your chosen day for all subsequent weeks.
Snow Clearing Services
Standard Deadline: Snow requests must be completed within 6 hours after a snowstorm has ended, unless a different timeline is specified by the customer.
Performance & Reliability
Timely service is critical to your success on the platform. Failure to complete jobs within the windows outlined above may result in:
A decrease in your Customer Satisfaction Rating.
A Release Fee applied to your account.
Account Review and potential suspension of your provider profile.
Pro Tip: We know unexpected delays happen. If you cannot meet a deadline due to equipment issues or weather, always notify the customer immediately using the in-app calling or messaging features. Proactive communication is the best way to protect your rating.
