Will customers have their driveways staked?

Edited

At LawnGuru, we encourage all customers to stake their driveways before requesting a service. However, even if markers are not present, you are responsible for inspecting the service area to ensure work is completed safely and without damage to the property.

How it works

Before you begin clearing snow, take a moment to assess the property tracing and the layout of the property. This simple step protects the customer's property and your equipment.

  • Perform a site walk: If the driveway isn't staked, look for hidden hazards like landscape lighting, low curbs, or decorative pavers.

  • Identify boundaries: Locate where the pavement ends and the lawn or landscaping begins to avoid turf damage.

  • Note existing damage: If you notice pre-existing damage to the driveway or surrounding areas, document it with a photo in the app before you start working.

Key details

  • Provider Responsibility: You are expected to exercise professional care at every job site. The absence of driveway stakes does not waive the requirement to prevent avoidable property damage.

  • Safety First: Checking for obstacles like extension cords, holiday lights, or hidden debris helps prevent costly repairs to your blowers or plows.
