What Are AutoPlow Jobs for Providers?
AutoPlow jobs are pre-scheduled snow removal services for customers who want their property cleared automatically whenever snowfall meets a specific threshold. As a provider, you can build an AutoPlow route to secure recurring work and a predictable schedule for the entire winter season.
How it works
Automatic assignment: Once you add an AutoPlow job to your route, it is automatically assigned to you every time that area's activation threshold is met.
Manual activation: If you believe a storm requires service but your route hasn't been activated, you can use the Request AutoPlow Activation tool in the app to notify us.
Key service details
The 6-hour window: For standard storms, all AutoPlow services must be completed within 6 hours of the storm's end. While LawnGuru typically sends notifications when a storm has subsided, we recommend monitoring local forecasts to ensure you begin clearing promptly.
Multiple activations: During heavy snowfall, we may activate routes multiple times. You will be notified of each activation and will receive a separate payment for every individual clearing performed.
Timing is critical: Avoid servicing properties too early. If a property is cleared while snow is still heavily falling and becomes covered again, it may result in a full refund for the customer. Only clear early if LawnGuru specifically directs a multi-activation event.
Managing your route
We recommend using your AutoPlow jobs as the foundation of your winter route. Because you must complete all AutoPlow services within the 6-hour window, be careful not to over-commit.
Once your core AutoPlow route is under control, you can maximize your earnings by picking up additional on-demand (1x) jobs that appear near your existing route throughout the storm!
